We're excited to welcome you to a new chapter.
Today, NIUHI officially became KOMODO Manga & Comics, now part of KOMODO STATION.
While our name is changing, our mission remains the same: helping creators share their stories with readers and making it easier than ever to discover great manga and comics.
Here's everything you need to know about the transition and what comes next.
■Why are we making this change?
NIUHI was never just a place to buy and read manga.
From the very beginning, our goal has been to help creators share their stories with more readers and make it easier for people to discover great manga and comics.
As our community has grown, we realized it was time for our platform to grow with it.
Becoming KOMODO Manga & Comics brings our manga community closer to the wider KOMODO ecosystem, opening up new opportunities for creators and helping their stories reach new audiences.
As part of the new chapter, we’re expanding beyond Japan and the United States, making manga and comics available to readers in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan through KOMODO STATION.
■What does this mean for creators?
Joining KOMODO STATION opens up new opportunities for creators to reach a wider audience.
Through the broader KOMODO ecosystem, your work can be discovered not only by manga readers, but also by members of the wider KOMODO community, including gamers and existing KOMODO STATION customers.
As part of this new chapter, your work will also become available to readers in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, in addition to Japan and the United States.
We’ll also continue to invest in new features that help creators reach more readers, including community-powered translations that allow readers to support creators by making their stories accessible across more languages - this is creator-approved fansubbing/scanlation, folks!
Beyond the platform itself, we're committed to showcasing creators through profile highlights, features, interviews, campaigns, and community initiatives as KOMODO Manga & Comics continues to grow.
■What does this mean for readers?
KOMODO Manga & Comics brings your manga experience into KOMODO STATION, making it easier to discover and purchase manga, games, and software in one place.
- Keep access to your previously purchased books. Create a KOMODO STATION account using the same email address as your NIUHI account, and your purchased titles will be available in My Bookshelf.
- Community Translations and Tools will remain available, making it easier to discover and enjoy stories in more languages.
- Continue enjoying Bubble Tap, our unique feature that lets you switch languages with a simple tap on a speech bubble—a great self-study tool that makes it easy to compare translations, discover how dialogue is expressed across languages, and enjoy manga in new ways.
- Discover more stories and creators as our catalog continues to grow.
- Enjoy more curated collections, campaigns, and recommendations across the KOMODO ecosystem.
- Readers in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan can now purchase and enjoy manga and comics alongside readers in Japan and the United States.
What happens to NIUHI?
Starting November 13, 2026 (JST), NIUHI will make its full transition to KOMODO Manga & Comics. The NIUHI website will redirect to its new home on KOMODO STATION, and the NIUHI app will be retired.
From there, you can continue enjoying manga and comics through your web browser, with app support planned for the future.
